A Cambuslang womanhas been accused of obatining over £7000 in benefits to which she was not entitled.
Gillian Sutherland (34), of Strathclyde Gardens, appeared in Court on Tuesday (August 25).
Between October 5 2009 and July 8, 2012 at a premises in Smith Terrace, Rutherglen and Redpath Drive in Cambuslang, Sutherland allegedly failed to give prompt notification to the Department of Work and Pensions of a change in her circumstances that she allegedly knew would affect her entitlement to carers allowance.
It is alleged she failed to declare she was not resident in Great Britain and is therefore accused of gaining £7884.95 in carers allowance to which she was not entitled.
