Two Cambuslang men appeared at court charged with being in a property with the intent to commit theft.

Kyle McNeill (16), of Woodlands Crescent, and Thomas Talent (25), of Helmsdale Court, appeared at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Monday (August 24).

McNeill andTalent, on March 18 2015, were allegedly found in the curtilage of 15 Burncleach Avenue in Cambuslang without lawful authority to be there and it may be inferred that they intended to commit theft.

McNeill is also accused of breaking his bail conditions. McNeill was granted bail at Glasgow Sheriff Court on February 12, 2015 on the condition he remain within his bail address between the hours of 7pm and 7am and attend the door when requested to do so by police.

It is alleged he failed to attend the door when requested by two officers on March 18, 2105 at 7.05pm.

McNeill and Talent pleaded not guilty and are due to reappear for trial on September 9. Bail was continued.
