Residents from Rutherglen and Cambuslang got their first look at the fantastic woodland park facility at Cuningar Loop.

Although the park won’t officially open until the spring of next year, the gates have been opened for the past two weekends so people can get a sneak peak at some of what will be on offer.

And as these fantastic pictures from the first two events prove, it looks like the park will be a hit.

There was another taster session at the weekend, with a third one taking place later this month, on Sunday, September 20 when the focus will be on the adventure play and arts area.

The £5.7million project is being taken forward by Forest Enterprise Scotland, a branch of the Forestry Commission.

Project manager Joneen Clarke, said: “It was an amazing day, it was brilliant to see families enjoying the park and activity zones.

“The feedback has been brilliant and we are looking forward to the next event.”
