Motorists warned to lock vehicles
Police in Cambuslang have issued a warning to drivers after a spate of break-ins.
A Tweet posted by local officers urged motorists in the area to lock their vehicles after a rash of break-ins to insecure vehicles.
A spokesman for Police Scotland confirmed that five vehicles were targeted in five streets in the early hours of September 3.
None of the vehicles was locked and only loose change and an iPod were stolen.
The spokesman said: “Enquiries are ongoing and we would urge people to call 101 if they saw anything suspicious in the area in the early hours of September 3. We would also advise motorists to ensure their vehicles are locked at all times.”
