Not guilty to cruelty charge
A Toryglen woman has been accused of causing unnecessary suffering to a dog.
Nicola McGinley (36), of Prospecthill Place, appeared at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Tuesday (August 28).
Between March 31, 2011 and July 31, 2014, at Prospecthill Place and elsewhere in Glasgow, McGinley is accused of causing the animal unnecessary suffering.
It is alleged she failed to secure proper veterinary treatment, including the surgical removal of an eye and a testicular tumour whereby the tumour spread, causing oedema and infection.
It became ulcerated and was bleeding and the dog became emaciated.
McGinley maintained a plea of not guilty and was ordained to reappear for trial on December 14.
