Cop as­sault ac­cu­sa­tion

A Ruther­glen man has been ac­cused of as­sault­ing a po­lice of­fi­cer.

Jason Dela­cour, of Glas­gow Road, ap­peared at Glas­gow Sher­iff Court on Mon­day (Septem­ber 7).

On April 2, this year, Dela­cour is said to have be­haved in a threat­en­ing and abu­sive man­ner by shout­ing, swear­ing and ut­ter­ing abu­sive re­marks dur­ing a jour­ney from Glas­gow Road to Cath­cart Po­lice Of­fice in a marked po­lice ve­hi­cle.

The 44-year-old is also ac­cused of as­sault­ing a po­lice of­fi­cer by stamp­ing on his foot at Cath­cart Po­lice Of­fice.

He is also al­leged to have as­saulted a staff mem­ber at the po­lice by bit­ing him on the arm.

Dela­cour failed to ap­pear and a war­rant was is­sued for his ar­rest.
