Trial af­ter trio deny break­ing in to cafe

Three men ap­peared in court ac­cused of steal­ing money and items from a cafe in Ruther­glen.

Gary An­drew Dun­can, of Bute Tower, Cal­lum David Cum­mins, of Green­hill Road, and Daniel Henry Booth or Princess Street ap­peared at Glas­gow Sher­iff Court on Tues­day (Septem­ber 8).

Dun­can (25), Cum­mins ( 19) and Booth ( 17) are ac­cused of break­ing into the Niu Cafe on Green­bank Street and steal­ing al­co­hol, a meat clever, a knife, cans of soft drinks, a till and cash to the value of £500.

All three pleaded not guilty and the case will go to trial on Oc­to­ber 7. Bail as con­intued.
