PDSA fashion event
Help out charity
A Rutherglen charity shop will hold a fashion show this week to try and help animals in need of veterinary treatment.
The PDSA Shop at 50 Main Street will host their autumn fashion evening tomorrow ( Thursday, September 10) from 6pm until 8pm.
On display will be a range of women’s and men’s clothes, assorted new goods, partywear, footwear, accessories and bric- abrac.
The group are also on the lookout for volunteers, as well as donations.
A spokesperson said: “As a charity, we rely solely on the generosity of our supporters to donate quality stock for us to sell, to help us raise vital funds for sick and injured pets locally and across the UK.
“Why not have a clear out and let us take some of your unwanted items off your hands? We have an uplift service every Wednesday, where the stock collector can come and collect your donations.
“We also need enthusiastic volunteers who are passionate about pets and who can lend a hand at Rutherglen PDSA shop.
No previous re t a i l experience is required to come and work with us and for many of our volunteers, they find the experience that they pick up with us enhances their CV and builds confidence.
“Volunteering with us also gives people a fantastic opportunity to meet new people and make new friends. If you’re are passionate about animals and fancy a new challenge, get in touch.”
