News in brief from around the local churches
Rutherglen Old Parish Church will hold their next monthly coffee morning this coming Saturday, September 12.
It will last from 10am until Noon, and all the proceeds will go to Wellhall Care Home in Hamilton.
The church hopes to have some staff and residents with them.
Members of the public will also be most welcome to join us for Tea/Coffee and Baking at a modest cost of £2.
Marmalade, Tablet and cakes will be available for sale, to enjoy at home. God is doing in the communities already.
Lunch and workshops are included.

A new venture beginning in the church is a fellowship group for men. Known appropriately as‘The King’s Men’, this will begin on September 10 at 7.30pm in the church hall. All welcome.
The Ladies’Carpet Bowls Club also resumes this week. Open to all ladies, the club meets on Thursdays at 1.30pm in the Iona Hall.
New members are welcome; no prior knowledge of the game necessary.
