A pay­roll gang that had pre­vi­ously struck in broad day­light were at it again, af­ter they grabbed £2000 from a Cam­bus­lang bed­ding com­pany.

Work be­gan on the £250,000 im­prove­ment pro­ject on Malls Myre in To­ry­glen that promised to turn a waste­land into a“park for the peo­ple”.

Hun­dreds of lo­cals were set to take to the streets of Cam­bus­lang for a march that would end at Ruther­glen Main Street, and was tak­ing place to protest against pro­posed so­cial se­cu­rity ben­e­fits.

Con­cerned Castlemilk par­ents launched their own DRUGLINE, aimed at help­ing other wor­ried par­ents com­bat the grow­ing men­ace of drugs in the scheme.

Glen­cairn beat Glen­boig 1-0 to progress to the semi-fi­nals of the Tom Brown Cup.
