Rutherglen Reformer - - MEMORY LANE -

A poorly pensioner was at the centre of a black-out after soot started coming out of her fireplace and covered her room in black dust.

Children at Burnside Primary were having their lives put in danger - by their own parents, who the school accused of not taking enough care or caution when picking up the youngsters from school.

Speculation was mounting over the‘disappearance’of a teacher at Cathkin High - who the school believed had gone off and joined the Foreign Legion.

The Toryglen community came together for a meeting to work out how to curb the rising tide of vandalism in the area.

Rutherglen Community Council appealed for new members.
