At­tack woman robbed of car

De­tec­tives are ap­peal­ing for wit­nesses af­ter a woman was robbed in the Cathkin area early yesterday morn­ing (Tues­day, Septem­ber 15.)

The woman was out­side the Wil­liam Hill book­mak­ers at around 5.20am in Brae­mar Road when she was ap­proached by two men.

They threat­ened her with weapons be­fore as­sault­ing her and tak­ing her prop­erty which in­cluded car keys.

They then made off in her beige Citroen C4 car which was last seen head­ing in the di­rec­tion of the Cathkin By­pass.

The first man is de­scribed as around 5’8”, medium build, clean shaven with short light brown coloured hair. He was wear­ing a dark hooded top and dark coloured trousers.

The sec­ond man is 5’ 6” and was wear­ing a light coloured hooded top and dark trousers.

De­tec­tive Sergeant Charles Li­mond said: “Thank­fully the vic­tim was not se­ri­ously hurt but this was nonethe­less a ter­ri­fy­ing or­deal re­sult­ing in her car and bag con­tain­ing her per­sonal be­long­ings be­ing taken.”
