Pupils of­fer up bags of sup­port

Fern­hill School is call­ing on res­i­dents to do­nate items to help Syr­ian refugees.

The school has once again show­ing its true car­ing and com­pas­sion­ate val­ues by join­ing the cam­paign launched by SCIAF and Glas­gow the Car­ing City, to send clothes to the Balkan re­gion for those refugees who have fled to the area from Syria.

The cam­paign, which they have called, ‘Bring a Bag to School’, is be­ing led by Olivia McA­dams, their S6 char­ity pre­fect and over­seen by Mrs Camp­bell, de­pute head of the up­per pri­mary school.

The cam­paign started on Mon­day and and will run for the whole school week un­til Fri­day, Septem­ber 18.

The school are look­ing for men’s, women’s, chil­dren’s and ba­bies’ cloth­ing and shoes.

Any­one with items to do­nate should take them along to the school any day of this week where they will be han­dled along with the other items col­lected and sent to those in need.
