Pupils offer up bags of support
Fernhill School is calling on residents to donate items to help Syrian refugees.
The school has once again showing its true caring and compassionate values by joining the campaign launched by SCIAF and Glasgow the Caring City, to send clothes to the Balkan region for those refugees who have fled to the area from Syria.
The campaign, which they have called, ‘Bring a Bag to School’, is being led by Olivia McAdams, their S6 charity prefect and overseen by Mrs Campbell, depute head of the upper primary school.
The campaign started on Monday and and will run for the whole school week until Friday, September 18.
The school are looking for men’s, women’s, children’s and babies’ clothing and shoes.
Anyone with items to donate should take them along to the school any day of this week where they will be handled along with the other items collected and sent to those in need.
