Tesco store wants to help

Rutherglen Reformer - - News - Staff reporter

The Tesco store in Burnside is asking the community to come forward and suggest a project that would benefit from support.

In the past five years Tesco Burnside have supported many local schools, clubs, nurseries and groups in the Rutherglen and Cambuslang area, providing both financial and hands on support at various events.

Community Champion Karen Jarvie said: “Tesco Burnside is already very active in the community; however we would like to offer our support on a bigger scale.

“This does not always have to be financial as we are very aware some groups and organisations just need extra manpower.

“We would like the opportunity to bridge that gap and ensure a project is completed as planned. That could be anything from clearing out a playroom, painting a community room or helping to create a community garden.”

If you think Tesco Burnside could help you reach your goal put your request in writing to: Karen Jarvie, Tesco, 241 Stonelaw Road, Burnside, Glasgow, G73 3RU.
