Pupils have a high old time at camp trip
Stonelaw High treated some of their newest pupils to a trip away.
They travelled to Bonaly Scout Camp in Edinburgh to take part in a Skill and Values day aimed at creating positive relationships between both staff and pupils within the school.
Throughout the day pupils engaged in various activities including several team building games whilst also tackling the misty heights of Jacob’s ladder and taking the “leap of faith”.
The focus of the trip was to continue the schools promotion of positive relationships whilst also establishing, in each pupil the school’s values and skills for life and work which have been agreed upon over the past year in consultation with the whole school community.
The school believe that pupils would, therefore, learn about ambition, commitment, trust, respect and loyalty, as well as learning skills for Life and Work, communication, how to be hardworking, how to show leadership, independence and team work
A school spokesperson said: “Pupils had a very enjoyable day where they had the opportunity to create new and build upon existing relationships whilst also learning the values and skills which allow them to become successful. Special thanks to the organisers.”
