Ladies lunch for kids charity
Tasty amount raised for Cash for Kids
Some local Burnside ladies enjoyed a tasty lunch for a good cause recently.
Burnside women enjoyed a Ladies Lunch at Ciao Bella Italian Restaurant in Burnside on Sunday August 30, with the meal taking place to support Cash For Kids.
A total of £550 was raised for the charity as a result.
This is the second year that Ciao Bella held the lunch, with Renato and Angela at the restaurant helping to organise the day.
The ladies enjoyed their three course lunch with entertainment from Ashley Donaldson and John Kelly.
Elizabeth Arbuckle, the Community Life Champion at Asda Toryglen who organised the event, said:“Due to the success of the day we are looking to make this an annual event for Burnside.
“It was a great afternoon and we would like to thank each and every one who bought a ticket and supported with raffle prizes.”
Cash for Kids lends a helping hand to disabled and disadvantaged children aged 0 to 18 across Scotland by means of their grant giving process.
Grants awarded go towards buying specialist equipment for children to enhance their quality of life.
They are given to children’s charities and organisations to help them undertake projects and new initiatives or to ensure that much needed services can continue to provide essential care and support.
All the money raised on behalf of Cash for Kids stays in the area it was raised in providing a helping hand when and where it is needed most.
