Par­ent coun­cil to hold mini fair

Cathkin High School’s par­ent coun­cil are set to hold a car boot sale and mini fair.

It will take place on Satur­day, Oc­to­ber 3, from 10am to 1pm.

Be­sides the out­door car boot sale, there will be a café serv­ing food and re­fresh­ments and var­i­ous stalls in­side the school in­clud­ing a home bak­ing stall.

Events like this are how the Par­ent Coun­cil raises funds for events, trips, sports and art equip­ment and other ad­di­tional ex­tra items for the use of school pupils.

For ex­am­ple pupils will be rais­ing funds for the newly es­tab­lished Duke of Ed­in­burgh Cen­tre at the school, which is a unique col­lab­o­ra­tive ven­ture set-up by the par­ent coun­cil and the school.
