Dan­ger driv­ing charge

A 20-year-old Cam­bus­lang man is to stand trial af­ter deny­ing driv­ing dan­ger­ously and caus­ing in­jury by strik­ing a pedes­trian.

A trial date of Fe­bru­ary 8 was been set af­ter Anser Ali Sadiq, of West­farm Cres­cent, Cam­bus­lang, ap­peared at Glas­gow Sher­iff Court on Septem­ber 22.

He is charged with driv­ing a Skoda Fabia dan­ger­ously on Oc­to­ber 8 last year in Nid­drie Road, Glas­gow, strik­ing a pedes­trian and caus­ing in­jury.

He is ac­cused on the same date of caus­ing a ve­hi­cle to stand on the road, caus­ing an ob­struc­tion.

Sadiq is also charged with driv­ing dan­ger­ously on Oc­to­ber 12, 2014, out­side 355 Castlemilk Road, pulling out in front of an on­com­ing car, trav­el­ling across the car­riage­way and col­lid­ing with a num­ber of parked cars, caus­ing them to col­lide with a fur­ther ve­hi­cle, re­sult­ing in dam­age to all cars in­volved.

He de­nies all charges.
