Snaps of the sea­sons can help cap­ture coun­cil prize

South La­nark­shire Coun­cil have launched a year-long sea­sonal pho­tog­ra­phy com­pe­ti­tion to cap­ture what makes our area unique. En­try cat­e­gories:

woodlands, or­chards, de­signs in the land­scape, in­dus­trial her­itage, agri­cul­ture and hor­ti­cul­ture. Dead­line for en­tries Novem­ber 30.

woodlands, built her­itage, ge­ol­ogy (rivers and rocks), in­dus­trial her­itage. Dead­line Fe­bru­ary, 29.

woodlands, wildlife, or­chards, ge­ol­ogy (rivers and rocks), in­dus­trial her­itage. Dead­line May, 31.

woodlands, wildlife, built her­itage, play, agri­cul­ture and hor­ti­cul­ture. Dead­line Au­gust 31. Judg­ing will take place quar­terly fol­low­ing the dead­line for each sea­sonal cat­e­gory with over­all win­ners picked next Septem­ber.

Each win­ning pho­tog­ra­pher will win a framed print of their pho­to­graph and sub­mit­ted im­ages may be se­lected for fu­ture Clyde and Avon Val­ley Land­scape Part­ner­ship (CAVLP) ex­hi­bi­tions, post­cards and dig­i­tal in­ter­pre­ta­tion of the area on the www.clyde­and avon­va­l­ web­site.
