A Cam­bus­lang man ap­peared at Glas­gow Sher­iff Court on Septem­ber 22, charged with steal­ing from an ATM.

Jeremy Para­dine (44) of 67 Bute Tower, Cam­bus­lang, is ac­cused of us­ing a bank card, forc­ing open an ATM at Co­op­er­a­tive Stores, Brae­mar Road, Ruther­glen, on Jan­uary 17 and steal­ing £300.

He is charged with com­mit­ting the same of­fence at Asda, To­ry­glen Road, on Jan­uary 21.

He de­nies the charges and will stand

trial on Oc­to­ber 20. A 40-year-old man from Castlemilk has been charged with as­sault­ing a woman with a base­ball bat.

Paul Ed­mond­son, of 15 Croft­side Av­enue, Castlemilk, is ac­cused of hav­ing a base­ball bat at 153 Croft­side Av­enue, Glas­gow, and as­sault­ing the woman by strik­ing her on the body with it to her in­jury. He de­nies the charges. He is ex­pected to ap­pear on trial to­day .
