Refugee aid starts jour­ney

A truck with 19 tonnes of aid col­lected by Glas­gow The Car­ing City for Syr­ian refugees started its long jour­ney yesterday - from a fac­tory in Ruther­glen.

The goods are due for Ser­bia to aid those feel­ing terror.

The Castlemilk-based char­ity packed the trucks at Bound­ary Road in Ruther­glen be­fore set­ting them on their way across Europe
