Help with winter heating
Vulnerable residents of Rutherglen and Cambuslang have been offered advice on how to stay warm this winter.
A scheme set up by the Scottish Government is offering assistance to homeowners and private sector tenants struggling to heat their home.
Those who have lived in their property for at least six months and who meet the qualifying criteria will be able to apply for the service.
Warmer Homes Scotland is designed to help vulnerable people make their homes warmer a n d m o re comfortable by installing a range of energy- saving measures that include wall insulation, loft insulation, draught-proofing, central heating and renewables.
The measures offered will depend on a survey of the property.
People who have had assistance through a government programme before they can still apply for Warmer Homes Scotland.
Assessors will recommend measures suitable for the property, including a range of insulation and heating measures, and in most cases costs will be met by the Scottish Government
