Ever won­dered how a koala learns to hug?

A new show com­ing to Ruther­glen Town Hall will have all the an­swers in a cou­ple of weeks time.

How The Koala Learnt To Hug will be at the Town Hall on Tues­day Oc­to­ber 13, just as the kids go off on their Oc­to­ber week hol­i­day.

The show, by the Peo­ple’s Theatre Com­pany, asks the ques­tion of just how did koalas learn to hug and be­come cud­dly crit­ters?

Find out by join­ing a host of heart warm­ing char­ac­ters in­clud­ing a won­der­ful wiz­ard, a grumpy koala and a pair of pic­nic lov­ing beavers for some great sto­ries, sing along songs, su­perb games and , yes, some first class hug­ging.

It’s adapted from the best­selling book by Steven Lee and is writ­ten es­pe­cially for par­ents to en­joy with their chil­dren,

As an ex­tra treat au­thor Steven Lee will be avail­able af­ter the show to sign copies of the book which will be on sale at the show at a spe­cially dis­counted rate.

The show starts at 2.30pm and tick­ets are priced at £7 or a fam­ily ticket for four costs £25.
