Mem­bers of the Cam­bus­lang and Ruther­glen Area Com­mit­tee this week ap­proved the fol­low­ing com­mu­nity grant ap­pli­ca­tions:

Cam­bus­lang Parish Church - £200 for an out­ing.

First Spring­hall Brown­ies - £300 for an out­ing, en­trance fees and ma­te­ri­als.

Young at Heart Se­nior Club, Cam­bus­lang - £400 for an out­ing ad­min costs and ma­te­ri­als.

Cly­de­ford View Lunch and So­cial Club, Cam­bus­lang - £300 for equip­ment.

White­field Bowl­ing and Recre­ation Club - £ 300 for equip­ment.

Cath­cart Road Or­chard and Bellscroft - £200 for an out­ing.

Ruther­glen Com­mu­nity Car­ers - £250 for an out­ing and en­trance fees.

Cam­bus­lang and Ruther­glen Un­em­ployed Art Club - £1000 for an out­ing, ad­min costs, equip­ment and ma­te­ri­als.

Over­ton Ten­ants and Res­i­dents As­so­ci­a­tion, Cam­bus­lang - £450 for an out­ing, equip­ment and ma­te­ri­als.

Cam­bus­lang Dis­trict Vol­un­tary Care Club - £ 400 for spe­cial­ist trans­port and en­trance fees.

Cathkin Braes Playscheme - £250 for an out­ing and en­trance fees.

The Daniel Sands Or­gan Re­search Trust, Ruther­glen - £250 for startup costs.

The coun­cil op­er­ates a com­mu­nity grants scheme to sup­port lo­cal con­sti­tuted com­mu­nity groups and vol­un­tary or­gan­i­sa­tions. Ap­pli­ca­tions are in­vited con­tin­u­ally through­out the year.

So far in 2015/16, the com­mit­tee has ap­proved £ 16,598 worth of grants from £45,000.
