Time to keep the kids busy
There is so much for young people under the age of 16 to do this October week.
And most children have a busy social life with the clubs and groups they are involved in.
During the October week there is so much to get up to.
Why not let your youngster turn their hand to a week of drama at a school where they can express themselves through music, acting and performing.
There are drama clubs for tiny tots and teenagers that will give them a week to remember.
And for the little ones why not head indoors if the autumn weather is being unkind and take in some leisure activities.
Softplay is a great way of giving the kids something to keep them busy and at the same time you can sit back and relax with a good book and a cuppa while they run around and have a ball in the swamp pit or making new friends as they play.
And leisure centres offer kids clubs during the break where they can swim, play sport and meet their friends to keep active and healthy.
Arts and crafts are always a big hit with the youngsters so why not sign them up to get creative during the October week.
Some venues let the children create their own artastic paintings and models as part of the fun.
They can then keep their creation as a souvenir to take pride of place in the home.
And remember there’s no need to spend a fortune as there is plenty to see and activities to take part in during the holidays.
Why not go out on a nature trail and head out for an adventure to one of the free parks in Ayrshire.
There are a wealth of activities being offered at the parks this October break when Rangers are offering youngsters the chance to feed some of the wildlife in the parks.
So get out there and get the youngsters busy this holiday.
