Smokey gets in your eyes

Smoke Gets in Your Eyes, so the old song goes and I absolutely love the Urban Decay Smokey palette when it comes to get clients’eyes ready for their close-up.

It’s a real staple in my bag of tricks. And the latest Smokey palette does not disappoint.

It boasts a great mix of matt, satin and sparkle shades which allows you to achieve endless smokey looks.

Urban Decay use a‘pigment infusion system’which gives this palette its velvety texture, rich colours, saying power and blendabilty.

The palette contains nine new shades and three from past palettes - a champagne shimmer, Dirtysweet – a medium bronze, Radar -a metallic taupe, Armor-metalic – a silver taupe, Slanted – a metallic grey, Dagger- a medium charcoal, Black Market – jet black satin, Smoulder – a deep plum taupe, Password – a cool taupe matt, Whiskey – a rich brown matte, Combust – a soft pink-taupe and Thirteen – a light beige satin.

Just about every look you can think of can be achieved with this amazing palette.

My favourite is Radar, which looks amazing for a classic smokey look.

Apply it across the lid by pressing the colour on with a firm flat brush and blend into the crease of the eye. After that, sweep the colour underneath the bottom lash line and finish with mascara.
