Ten­ants asked about rent rise

Ten­ants in Ruther­glen and Cam­bus­lang will have the chance to dis­cuss the level of rent rise for next year.

South La­nark­shire Coun­cil are of­fer­ing their ten­ants a chance to present their views at two public meet­ings tak­ing place next month.

The coun­cil say this is a vi­tal is­sue and the event will fo­cus on dis­cussing and con­sid­er­ing the op­tions for set­ting the level of rent in­crease for 2016/17.

Ten­ants can go along and hear about the coun­cil’s hous­ing bud­get and the rent-set­ting process and give their views on the key ar­eas to be con­sid­ered in set­ting the level of in­crease for the com­ing year.

The meet­ings will be held in Ruther­glen Town Hall at 2pm on Novem­ber 3 and in the Cadoc Suite, Cam­bus­lang Gate, at 2pm on Novem­ber 4.
