Rutherglen Reformer - - News -

Winter may be on its way but the Friends of Overtoun Park in Rutherglen are already looking ahead to next spring.

The group will be bulb planting, litter-picking and hosting autumn arts and crafts for children at their Perk up the Park event on Saturday, October 24, from 1-3pm.

They are inviting members of the community to come along with a trowel to help them beautify the park.

Litter-pickers and bulbs will be provided, along with free refreshments for those willing to dig in.

The Friends of Overtoun Park are extremely grateful for the ongoing support from Karen Jarvie, Community Champion at Tesco Burnside, who will be providing a team of store staff to help prepare the ground as well as supplying some free bulbs.

Anyone interested in going along will receive a warm welcome and should meet at the Victoria Fountain. All children must be accompanied by an adult.
