The Bereavement Support Group in Cambuslang and Rutherglen has recently made changes to its service.

The team of volunteer supporters is now able to offer confidential listening support every Wednesday instead of fortnightly as used to be the case. It is available from 10am until noon throughout the year.

The bereavement may be recent or have taken place some time ago. What matters, organisers say, is whether people feel they would benefit from talking about their loss.

The meetings take place in the Morriston Room of Cambuslang Church in the Main Street at the corner of Clydeford Road. Access is from Arnott Way, for those on foot, or travelling by public transport.

It remains a drop- in service and no appointment is necessary. Tea or coffee is available as users chat, either one to one, or in a small group.

Organisers say that anyone who wishes can bring a friend and everyone will be given a warm welcome.
