South La­nark­shire Coun­cil last week gave the go-ahead for a num­ber of pro­posed de­vel­op­ments in Ruther­glen and Cam­bus­lang, many re­lat­ing to the open­ing of the new Healthy ‘n’ Happy hub on Farm­loan Road.

These in­cluded per­mis­sion for

The in­stal­la­tion of an art mu­ral onto the east fac­ing el­e­va­tion of the build­ing

Erec­tion of var­i­ous il­lu­mi­nated and non­il­lu­mi­nated sig­nage

Erec­tion of var­i­ous il­lu­mi­nated and non­il­lu­mi­nated sig­nage and in­stal­la­tion of art mu­ral (listed build­ing con­sent).

Other ap­pli­ca­tions given the go ahead were:

Erec­tion of sin­gle storey side ex­ten­sion - 4 Snae­fell Cres­cent, ap­pli­cants Mr and Mrs M White­side.

Al­ter­ations of roof to ac­com­mo­date at­tic con­ver­sion with as­so­ci­ated al­ter­ations - 141 Calder­wood Road, ap­pli­cant John Lig­gat.

Con­ver­sion of in­te­gral garage to form hab­it­able room - 15 burns Gate, ap­pli­cants Mr and Mrs Mark Sweeney.
