Denies assaulting Asda employee
Toryglen man Alan Usher has denied assaulting an Asda employee.
Usher, of Kerrylamont Avenue, is alleged to have headbutted, gouged the eye, scratched the neck, bit and spat on a male staff member at the Prospecthill branch of the store.
It is claimed he also behaved in a threatening manner, shouted, swore, made racist remarks and stated that he had a contagious disease.
He is further accused of stealing a hanging basket containing pot plants at the supermarket giant’s premises.
Usher (31), denies all the charges which are alleged to have taken place on September 16 this year while he was on bail.
This week at Glasgow Sheriff Court he was remanded in custody and will stand trial on October 14.
