De­nies as­sault­ing Asda em­ployee

To­ry­glen man Alan Usher has de­nied as­sault­ing an Asda em­ployee.

Usher, of Ker­ry­la­m­ont Av­enue, is al­leged to have head­but­ted, gouged the eye, scratched the neck, bit and spat on a male staff mem­ber at the Prospecthill branch of the store.

It is claimed he also be­haved in a threat­en­ing man­ner, shouted, swore, made racist re­marks and stated that he had a con­ta­gious dis­ease.

He is fur­ther ac­cused of steal­ing a hang­ing bas­ket con­tain­ing pot plants at the su­per­mar­ket gi­ant’s premises.

Usher (31), de­nies all the charges which are al­leged to have taken place on Septem­ber 16 this year while he was on bail.

This week at Glas­gow Sher­iff Court he was re­manded in cus­tody and will stand trial on Oc­to­ber 14.
