Pumpkin power will be a big treat
A five-day pumpkin festival is on the way for Castlemilk Park.
The spook-tastic event is aiming to build on the success of previous Halloween events in the woods and the festival will have a series of different events and activities each day.
Among the events planned are a pumpkin carving on Saturday, October 24, and a Hallowe’en lantern procession on Wednesday, October 28, which will take youngsters on a spooky walk through the woods
Other activities planned include making pumpkin soup, pumpkin pictures and pumpkin story telling sessions for pre-school children, with tales provided by the Village Story Telling Centre.
There will also be a pumpkin viewing on October 27 that will have over 200 pumpkins on display.
