AROUND THE GREENS
Members of Kirkhill bowling club enjoyed a Sportsman’s Dinner and an extra week’s bowling played during daylight hours.
The event, organised by members Ronnie Wilson and Billy Lockhart , was held on Friday night and proved to be a great success.
Guy Miller was the MC and he introduced Sandy Strang and Lyndsay Wood as the speakers .
Around 100 members and guests attended and had a great night, enjoying the refreshments served up by Sam, Julie and Lisa in the bar.
Charlie Lamont and Ronnie Wilson did a great job with the raffle and members were pleased to see three new members, Brian Gallagher, John Coubrough and Jim Walker among the many raffle winners.
The raffle was possible because of the generous donations of members and guests for which the club is grateful.
At the close, John O’Brien proposed the vote of thanks to the organisers, speakers, Willie McCallum and his local caterers from Cambuslang, the bar staff, committee members and duty directors, raffle donators and the audience who made a great night possible.
