Ruther­glen man is ac­cused of be­hav­ing in a threat­en­ing or abu­sive man­ner.

It is claimed that James Thom­son (32), of Holmhills Grove, shouted, swore, threw fur­ni­ture, seized a knife and threat­ened po­lice of­fi­cers.

The of­fences are al­leged to have hap­pened at Al­loway Cres­cent and at the South­ern Gen­eral Hospi­tal on May 30 this year. This week at Glas­gow Sher­iff Court, Thom­son de­nied the charges. Trial was set for Novem­ber 16. A Ruther­glen woman faces a charge of car­ry­ing a knife.

Ruth Mary Carr ( 32), of Lochaber Drive, is al­leged to have had the of­fen­sive weapon at Hamil­ton Road, Ruther­glen.

The al­leged of­fence hap­pened on July 24 this year.

At Glas­gow Sher­iff Court this week, she de­nied the charge and trial was set for Novem­ber 18.
