The Green Team at Healthy ‘n’ Happy is ready to help res­i­dents in Ruther­glen and Cam­bus­lang wor­ried about their fuel bills.

The team is pre­par­ing peo­ple to take eco-ac­tion to cut their costs.

They can guide users through some en­er­gysav­ing mea­sures and put them in touch with spe­cial­ist agen­cies.

The Green Team reckon that peo­ple can save any­thing up to £ 100 ev­ery year by fol­low­ing five sim­ple ac­tions. The five ac­tions are

Use only en­ergy-sav­ing bulbs.

Turn elec­tri­cal items off standby.

If you’re mak­ing a cup of tea or cook­ing, boil only the wa­ter you need.

If you leave a room, make sure you re­mem­ber to turn the lights off.

Dry wash­ing out­side if you can.
