It was fate for Anne

Anne Irvine, 50, from Kinning Park, Glasgow, has worked as an extra for over 25 years and features as a housewife in the new‘bowel movement’ advert. Her involvement in the campaign came at an opportune time, as it actually spurred her on to send away her test.

She said:“The bowel screening test dropped through my letter box on my 50th birthday.

“I put it in a drawer and have to admit I forgot all about it until my agency got in touch with this opportunity.

“That prompted me to go and find the test and I took it straight away.

“I’m just waiting on the results but I suppose you could say the ad has already encouraged one person to complete the test before it has even been screened. Now I’ve done it, it’s something I will definitely do it again.”
