Join the new UK movement
There’s a new movement sweeping across Scotland – the bowel movement! More people are returning their bowel cancer screening tests than ever before – around half a million every year.
It’s not the most pleasant of things to do but you’re not alone and the free test can be done in the privacy of your home. That’s what the Scottish Government’s latest Detect Cancer Early campaign is telling those eligible for bowel screening between the ages of 50 and 74.
Linda Brownlee, from the Scottish Bowel Screening Centre, said: “It’s important for people who are invited to take part in bowel screening to know they’re not alone. More people are returning their kits than ever before, giving themselves the best chance of survival, and even cure, from bowel cancer.
“Bowel cancer is one of the most treatable cancers, if found early. So, do yours, it could save your life.”
