Burnside Primary landed a boost recently.

Thanks to funding secured by the school’s parent council, they will continue to fund their Education City online computer learning programme.

It has been running for several years now at Burnside Primary and has proved extremely popular with pupils, staff and parents.

Events like the recent Christmas fair helped raise enough cash to extend the programme.

The school now has access to the French module allowing children from P1 to P7 to enhance their French learning as part of the Scottish Government’s 1&2 Language Strategy.

Gary Campbell, acting depute head teacher says: “I would like to pass on my thanks on behalf of the school for the support to continue using Education City.

“The fact we will now be able to access two further modules for free is excellent and will fully benefit the children.”
