Poet’s workshop

Rutherglen Reformer - - News -

Ruadh Ghleann Writers’held a successful poetry workshop in Rutherglen Library on Saturday, November 21.

Tom Bryan – published poet and author – travelled from his home in Kelso in the Scottish Borders to lead the workshop.

He gave an inspiring and humorous talk to some of the members about poetry writing and handed out some good tips to the would-be poets at the Ruadh Ghleann.

The writers were then encouraged by Tom to write their own poems which were then read out and shared with other attendees.

Irene Lebeter of the Ruadh Ghleann, said:“The workshop was a very worthwhile experience and we all left, motivated to try and write more poems in future.”

Ruadh Ghleann will have the last group meeting of the year on Thursday, December 10, in the library from 5.30pm to 7.30pm.

And anyone interested in joining that night will be made most welcome.
