Lunch treat

Mem­bers of Cam­bus­lang Parish Church who are over 75 en­joyed an en­ter­tain­ing St An­drew’s lunch last week .

The event started with soup, sand­wiches and tea or cof­fee with cakes be­fore the fun con­tin­ued with songs from May Nis­bet and Jim Fer­gu­son.

Then came the star at­trac­tion: a group of chil­dren from James Ai­ton Pri­mary School, who gave a fine per­for­mance of sev­eral of the works of Robert Burns.

Kenny Fin­nie rounded off the en­ter­tain­ment by play­ing a med­ley of well known tunes on his ac­cor­dion.

Mar­garet Macfar­lane closed the af­ter­noon by thank­ing Wil­lie McCal­lum for pro­vid­ing the soup, ev­ery­one who kept the com­pany en­ter­tained and ev­ery­one who worked hard to make the af­ter­noon a suc­cess.
