Tommy Sheridan has admitted to being nervous ahead of his appearance in an East Kilbride youth theatre group’s twisted Christmas play.

He features in CUPI Youth Theatre’s latest production Dave’s in the Wood which shows at Greenhills Community Centre this Friday, December 11.

Tommy plays‘The Wizard of Laws’ in the Christmas Eve tale which follows Dave Dawson, played by 13-year-old local lad Jay Malley, as he is transported into one of his video games and encounters the weird and wonderful inhabitants of the Black Hedgerow Wood.

Tommy told The Ticket Lanarkshire:“It is a privilege and pleasure to be invited to be part of this CUPI performance but I am very nervous. What if I fluff my lines? I am well out of my comfort zone. I’m sure the young thespians alongside me will carry my big bum over the line. Let the fun begin!”

Also appearing in the radio stage show is River City actress Keira Luchessi, Karen Fraser (Ae Fond Kiss) and stand-up comic Bruce Morton.

The performance starts at 7.30pm. Tickets are priced at £5 and £3 concessions.
