Police swarmed round a house in a leafy Cambuslang street following a “disturbance” yesterday morning.
Officers were stationed across the driveway and in the street around the Wellshot Drive property.
It is believed to be the former Abbeyfield Nursing Home.
When the Reformer called, there was a heavy police presence and patrols cruised streets in the affluent area. A police helicopter could also be seen overhead.
People took to social media as the news broke. One Facebook quote said: “My son was trying to get to the doctors. He was escorted through it all. He saw two being put in the back of a police car, said it looks scary.”
A force spokeswoman said: “Police attended an address in Wellshot Drive, Cambuslang, this morning in connection with an ongoing police enquiry.
“A disturbance took place within the house on police arrival and three men aged 28, 32 and 34 years were arrested and are currently detained in police custody in connection with alleged disorder offences.”
