Grants to lo­cal groups

Coun­cil­lors on the Cam­bus­lang and Ruthe­grlen area com­mit­tee have given the go ahead for the fol­low­ing com­mu­nity grant awards:

Fern­hill Se­nior Cit­i­zens, Ruther­glen, £ 250 for an out­ing and en­trance fees. Flem­ing­ton/Hall­side Guild, Cam­bus­lang, £ 440 for an out­ing, equip­ment and ma­te­ri­als.

Fern­hill Se­nior Cit­i­zens men’s Bowl­ing Club, Ruther­glen, £ 200 for an out­ing. Re­source­ful Ram­blers, Ruther­glen, £ 1000 for spe­cial­ist trans­port. United Re­formed Church, £400 for equip­ment.

Burn­side in Bloom, £ 1000 for ma­te­ri­als. St Bride’s Af­ter­noon Club Cam­bus­lang, £ 600 for an out­ing and equip­ment. The Lit­tle Ras­cals, Ruther­glen, £370 for an out­ing, en­trance fees and ma­te­ri­als.

The coun­cil op­er­ates a com­mu­nity grants scheme to sup­port lo­cal con­sti­tuted com­mu­nity groups and vol­un­tary or­gan­i­sa­tions.

Ap­pli­ca­tions are in­vited con­tin­u­ally through­out the year and re­quire to be sup­ported by a con­sti­tu­tion, au­dited ac­counts or an­nual in­come and ex­pen­di­ture ac­counts, a bank state­ment and con­fir­ma­tion that the group/ or­gan­i­sa­tion will ad­here to the con­di­tions of the grant award.
