What you had to say about the incident

Rutherglen Reformer - - News -

James Kelly MSP became the talk of social media last week after being thrown out the Scottish Parliament chamber.

Labour members quickly started the hashtag #freejameskelly.

But not everyone was in a laughing mood.

Here’s what you were saying on our Facebook site:

“I’m not a big fan of him but having watched the video on BBC I am now of firm belief that our country is run by children. She chucked him out for not being courteous but yet she can constantly interrupt. If anyone needs to apologise it’s her. Good on you James.”- Glenn Jamieson

“James Kelly,‘our MSP’a.k.a. The Invisible Man.”- Murray A Nix

“I’m glad we have an Msp who’s actually willing to speak up and make a point of order when required. It’s a sad day when the speaker is censoring our elected politicians, particularly when they have a valid point to make.”- Chris Hestor McBarry

“She was out of order, she would not let him speak, She should be sacked.”- Margaret Brown

“Good to know we have an MSP prepared to stand up for Workers rights! Keep up the fight James.”- Elizabeth-Anne Callaghan

“She’s a disgrace, acting like a child in a strop. She is paid a massive salary pension etc. To let our MSPs speak on our behalf. She needs to go.”- Martina Mcdermott

“He was told numerous times to get to the point, but chose to pick an argument instead - seemed childish to me. As a union rep myself, I’ll be the first to agree that the TU Bill is a disgrace but getting yourself thrown out of the chamber is hardly an adult way of standing up to it.”- Gary Painter
