VW adds equipment
The Volkswagen emission scandal rumbles on, so the company is gearing up for a New Year charm offensive with upgrades to three of its core models.
New versions of the Polo, Golf and Passat are on the way with added features and minimal price rises.
The changes see the introduction of a Polo Match to replace the SE trim grade, Golf GT Edition and R-Line Edition models and a revised SE Business trim on Passat saloons and estates.
The Polo Match will include cruise control and parking sensors as well as front fog lamps, tinted rear glass and new-look 15-inch alloys on both three and fivedoor body styles for an extra £100 taking the starting price up to £12,375.
The Golf Edition cars also get upgrades and extra equipment, while the Passat dumps SE spec and replaces it with SE Business grade.
