A kind- hearted woman and her friends and fam­ily helped bring ex­tra fes­tive cheer to un­der­priv­i­leged chil­dren in Ruther­glen and Cam­bus­lang.

Charmian Har­ri­son Ed­wards, from Cathkin, man­aged to fill 54 shoe­boxes with prezzies which she then do­nated to Cam­bus­lang Familty Cen­tre to dis­trib­ute.

Healthy‘ n’ Happy com­mu­nity de­vel­op­ment trust is launch­ing weekly tai chi classes to help res­i­dents re­lax into spring

In­struc­tor Laura will take you through an hour of gen­tle tai chi move­ments.

Par­tic­i­pants can then stay for some re­fresh­ments and a chat, with dis­cus­sions and tips to help you live a health­ier and hap­pier life­style.

The classes will take place ev­ery Tues­day from 10am un­til 11.45am in Ruther­glen West and Ward­lawhill Church, 3 Western Av­enue Ruther­glen.

Please note there is no wheel­chair ac­cess, al­though there is a ramp at the en­trance.

The course is free to mem­bers of Healthy ‘n’ Happy’s Im­pact Project and Con­fi­dent Kids Projects oth­er­wise there is a charge of £4 per week.
