Have your say on pro­posed re­zon­ing

Par­ents of chil­dren at four Cam­bus­lang schools are be­ing in­vited to give their views on a pro­posed re­zon­ing of the catch­ment ar­eas.

St Cadoc’s and Cairns pri­maries, as well as Cathkin and Trin­ity high schools could be af­fected.

Coun­cil­lors agreed in De­cem­ber to change the zones to in­clude a new de­vel­op­ment on Greenlees Farm.

It is pre­dicted the 240-home de­vel­op­ment, which was given the go-ahead last week, will gen­er­ate 38 non­de­nom­i­na­tional pri­mary pupils and 13 de­nom­i­na­tional pupils, 30 non-de­nom­i­na­tional and 10 de­nom­i­na­tional sec­ondary stu­dents and seven nurs­ery aged chil­dren. The con­sul­ta­tion lasts un­til Fri­day, March 11.
