Innovative thinkers wanted
A local support body for charities and community groups is actively seeking applications to join their board of trustees.
Voluntary Action South Lanarkshire ( VASLan) is calling for those who have a passion for supporting, developing and representing the South Lanarkshire’s voluntary sector to become closely involved in the running of the organisation, which offers advice and practical support with funding, volunteer recruitment, income generation, legal issues and more.
Ap p l i c a t i o n s are encouraged from Rutherglen and Cambuslang residents from various backgrounds, from those with close working knowledge of the local voluntary sector, to those without previous experience of community work but who have skills to offer and a desire to make a real difference.
Nancy Barr is project manager at a community growing project in Larkhall and said: “We’re looking for people who have the ability to think outside the box. If you are an innovative thinker with a passion for improving communities, and are ready to take on a challenging role, then I would highly recommend getting in touch.”
