A La­nark­shire com­edy duo are set to wel­come some top in­ter­na­tional stand ups to East Kil­bride.

Top co­me­di­ans who will be per­form­ing at the Glas­gow In­ter­na­tional Com­edy Fes­ti­val will be stop­ping off in East Kil­bride as they take to the stage on March 18 at The Union.

Af­ter tak­ing the show across La­nark­shire with gigs at Hamil­ton’s New Dou­glas Park foot­ball sta­dium and at the Ud­dingston Bowl­ing Club.

On East Kil­bride they have also ap­peared at the Ballerup Hall and the Salmon Leap, be­fore find­ing a home at The Union where they host most of their events.

TV per­son­al­ity and Scots Squad ac­tor Dar­ren Con­nell is on the bill along­side, Com­edy Ma­gi­cian Chris Din­woodie, and Kai Humphries will head­line the evening, af­ter pre­vi­ously work­ing at a Stand Out com­edy event in New­cas­tle. New Zealand comic Sully O’Sul­li­van will host the night. One of the or­gan­is­ers, Dar­ren Thom­son, is de­lighted to be able to bring the tal­ented co­me­di­ans to East Kil­bride with the fes­ti­vals go­ing on nearby.

He said: “We have Sully O’Sul­li­van from New Zealand host­ing the night. He has played some of the big­gest clubs in Eng­land in­clud­ing the com­edy store.

“He will be joined by well known on the Glas­gow cir­cuit, Com­edy Ma­gi­cian Chris Din­woodie, star of BBC’s Scot Squad Dar­ren Con­nell who plays Bobby and our ex­cel­lent head­liner from New­cas­tle, Kai Humphries who has sup­ported Daniel Sloss on tour.

“All four acts add some­thing a lit­tle dif­fer­ent.”
