An­nual sem­i­nar aimed at par­ents

Par­ents and car­ers in Ruther­glen and Cam­bus­lang are be­ing urged to at­tend the an­nual Par­ents as Part­ners Con­fer­ence.

This year’s event, en­ti­tled ‘Work­ing To­gether to Sup­port Learn­ing’, will take place on Thurs­day, March 17, from 7-9pm at the coun­cil of­fices, Al­mada Street, Hamil­ton.

‘ Mak­ing a dif­fer­ence - work­ing to­gether to sup­port chil­dren’s learn­ing’ is the essence of the coun­cil’s education strat­egy which has been de­vel­oped to im­prove both the qual­ity and ex­tent of par­ents’ in­volve­ment in their child’s learn­ing.

This year par­ents and car­ers have cho­sen the theme for the con­fer­ence: Keep­ing our chil­dren safe, the wee blether.

Schools, early years and par­ent groups are in­vited to en­cour­age par­ents and car­ers to at­tend as it prom­ises to be an en­joy­able learn­ing evening for mums, dads, car­ers and those who sup­port and work with chil­dren and young peo­ple.
